Rome Humane Society officials say they take in at least one abused animal a month. Some who have been beaten, others neglected. But this past weekend, workers at the Humane Society say they saw one of their saddest cases yet, when an extremely emaciated dog came through their door and died from her injuries. Dozens are dead and many more reported missing after a massive tornado struck the Oklahoma City area. The tornado flattened entire neighborhoods in the suburb of Moore, Oklahoma, with winds up to 200 miles an hour, leaving buildings on fire and landing a direct blow to an elementary school.

Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division were recognized Monday in the State Senate. Lawmakers got a chance to say thank you and Fort Drum's commanding general asked them to continue their support. As our Brian Dwyer tells us, Major General Stephen Townsend told the Senate it's "almost certain" the 10th Mountain Division will lose a brigade as a result of budget cuts.
