MADISON COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Madison County Sheriff's Office has identified the man found dead along Oneida Lake in Madison County, along with his cause of death.
The body of George Stampp, 61, of Bridgeport, was discovered in the water behind a home on Pierce Road in the Town of Sullivan Tuesday evening. Stampp had been missing since Monday morning.
Positive identification was made through dental records Wednesday.
