VESTAL, N.Y. -- Vestal Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a suspicious death on Thursday.

Police were called to Westland Road around 4:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving calls about an unresponsive female.

Officials arrested Steven Lipka, 19, for the murder of Shelby Jenkins, 16. Police say the two did know each other and had a relationship.

Lipka has been charged with murder in the second degree and is being held at the Broome County Jail pending further action.
