SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Big rigs lined the parking lot at Burnet Park in Syracuse Saturday, giving kids a chance to climb aboard and have some fun.

Children of all ages got to hop in and honk the horn on almost 30 vehicles, including fire trucks, dump trucks, cranes and tractor trailers. Organizers say they had a great turnout and it appears the event lived up to the expectations.

"We're parks and rec. People say we're the department of fun. It's just a fun event for the families to come out and just have a quality time and have a good time," said Mary Beth Roach of Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department.

In case you were wondering, our big rig was at the event too. We brought out the Storm Chaser so kids could hop in and take a look.
