JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. – Sixteen years in state prison. That's the sentence handed down to the man who shot and killed a Jefferson County EMT two years ago.

Christopher Burke, 27, pleaded guilty back in December to the murder of Mark Davis. Davis was at Burke's home responding to a medical emergency back in January of 2009. Davis was treating Burke when something happened and Burke grabbed a gun and started shooting.

Burke was originally charged with second degree murder, but pleaded down to first degree manslaughter and reckless endangerment.
