ALBANY, N.Y. -- Among those rallying against the month old gun control legislation is former Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino.
Paladino is critical not only of the bill itself, but with Senate Republicans who went along with the legislation.
"They should rescind the bill and then go back on the specific issues and properly air them, bring in the public comment, bring in the professionals and deal with the mental health part of it in a more professional way instead of just slapping a couple of words together and throw it onto a bill in the haste to get it out so he could be first in the country to make this announcement that he is the most progressive human being alive," said Paladino.
Republicans were able to insert revisions that strengthen anti crime laws and crimes involving illegal firearms.
