CICERO, NY-- The Syracuse West baseball team knocked off the Cicero-North Syracuse baseball team in the first round of the Class AA baseball playoffs with a 3-1 win on Tuesday.

An RBI hit by Matt Thompson in the top of the seventh to stretch the West lead to 3-1. Then in the bottom of the seventh a web gem in right field ended the game and sent Syracuse West into the second round.
