Training Week 7: Sharon BuMann
Time seems to be flying by at warp speed. My tri training friend, Nancy and I did a "brick" Saturday. We some how got mixed in with the intermediate group on our way through the Iron Girl course so we rode about 24.4 miles instead of 18. We had agreed on our way out of Arrowhead, we were going to pick-up our pace from our previous rides.... annnnnnnnnnnnnnd we did IT! It was about 15.4 mph average! WAAAAAAHOOOOO!
Then we stuffed our bikes in my car and drove back to Oneida Shores like crazed maniacs so we could sign-up for the Swamp Rat Run. We did the 5 K and just walked and slow jogged most of the way. The main goal was not to hurt ourselves and see what it felt like to get off our bikes and run. Needless to say there were no records broken in the process, and best of all, no injuries.
I am amazed t see the changes in my body as a result of all this fun activity. I seriously
mean that! I am beginning to feel obsessed....... and smiling all the way! I was fortunate enough to have a chance to swim in the ST. Lawrence this past weekend. I just wanted to see what the wet suit would do in really cold water. It works very well!
