Training Week 8: Sharon BuMann
As for training, I have been lifting weights and following the training schedule to the best of my ability. My work has taken over my main focus for the moment. I did have a Doctor's appointment last week. MY cholesterol is down again, 20 more points! My weight is down , and my blood pressure is down even on 1/2 doses of previous meds. Yeah!!!!
I had my bike tuned, and experienced a 31mph ride down a hill... that was sooooooo cool. I am told 53mph is even more fun ( I will have to put that on my "bucket list").
Now, let's discuss "transition training"; it's a hoot! All the huffing and puffing, adrenaline flows and floods like monsoon season in India. I found rolling your socks inside out (except the toe) helps to get them on when you feet are wet. You simply shove your toes in place and unroll... and whala, socks are on. Finding someone kind enough to help zip up your wet suit is good! Putting it back on when wet is more challenging then when dry... Lots of laughs and funny faces in the process!
