Day two of testimony in the Wayne Oxley murder trial. Three witnesses took the stand Tuesday.

Oxley, 40, of Ogdensburg, is charged with second-degree murder, accused of beating his neighbor, Bernard Trickey to death.

Dana Chubb, a friend and former roommate of Trickey, says he discovered hte dead body and called police. Another witness in the case, a St. Lawrence County Coroner, compared the crime scene to the gory movie, "Helter Skelter." The defense attorney objected to the comment.

Richard Manning, the defense attorney, said, "That was an extremely egregious violation but the judge sustained the objection and directed the jury to disregard the answer and I'm sure they will. They are an extremely good jury."

The final witness of the day, who is scheduled to continue testimony Wednesday, is a detective with the Ogdensburg Police Department.
