Oxley's friend testifies in murder trial

Oxley's friend testifies in murder trial

An update on the Wayne Oxley murder trial. Oxley's friend was one of the witnesses taking the stand Tuesday.

Oxley, 40, of Ogdensburg, is accused of beating his neighbor Bernard Trickey to death with a baseball bat in August 2005.

Bobbi Jo Gagnon said she saw Oxley the day Trickey was killed.
She testified Oxley came to her home under the influence of alcohol four times that day.

In weeks prior to the murder, she said Oxley was depressed and told her he was going to go on a rampage and shoot everybody. Gagnon also said, during the same visit, Oxley told her he needed an alibi and his "boys" were going to take care of something for him. In the past Oxley has said he drank with those same boys the night of the murder.

A former St. Lawrence County district attorney also took the stand. The trial continues Wednesday.
