Auburn police officer fired
AUBURN, N.Y. -- The Auburn police officer indicted on multiple charges has been fired. Brian Hutchings faces a ten count indictment that includes bribery and coercion charges.
According to investigators, Hutchings was allegedly involved in activities ranging from threats to one company trying to collect a debt to maceing and hitting an employee of the company and filing false charges against him.
Hutchings had previously been placed on suspension. He was a 19-year veteran of the force.
