JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. – State Police in Watertown have located a missing fugitive. Authorities say Brian Aikens was taken into custody just after midnight.

Aikens led police on a car chase into Jefferson County Sunday night after refusing to pull over.

The chase was eventually called off and authorities began to follow him with a helicopter. He later fled on foot, but was located in West Carthage.

Aikens is wanted on two parole violations.
