ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three students involved in a hazing incident at Cornell University that left a young man dead are now on trial.

George Desdunes, 19, died in February of 2011 after police he say let pledges at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity tie him up and force him to drink alcohol. Now, those three students, Max Haskin, Edward Williams and Ben Mann, are all facing charges of first degree hazing and unlawfully dealing with a child.

After the incident, Cornell shut down the frat house and revoked its official recognition of the fraternity. However, the three defendants are still facing potential legal repercussions for their actions.

Their case is being heard as a bench trial in Tompkins County Court.

Testimony has been underway for two days.
