OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Three people were killed in a car crash right near the Oswego Speedway Tuesday night.
City Police say five people were in the car when it went off the road and struck a utility pole around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Albany Street and Shampine Drive.
Three of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. The two survivors were taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
Police expected to have the road closed for several hours as they investigated the crash.
It's still too early to tell what may have been the cause.
