CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- Witness testimony continued Friday in the murder trial of a Chenango County man.

Peter Wlasiuk is accused of murdering his wife, Patricia, back in 2002 and then staging an accident to make it look as though she crashed her truck into Guilford Lake and drowned.

Four witnesses took the stand in court Friday, including a co-worker of Patricia Wlasiuk and a police officer who responded to the scene.

The jury was shown several pieces of evidence, including Patricia's pager, which was found in the back of the truck bed, as well as several photos of the crime scene on the night of the incident.

Wlasiuk was convicted of the murder twice in the past, but both of those convictions were overturned.

The defense maintains that Patricia's cause of death was an accidental drowning.

Witness testimony resumes on Monday morning.
