SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. -- The next time you change channels, you may notice a change to your onscreen guide.
Wednesday, Time Warner Cable is introducing its customers to its new system which boasts better functionality and should be easier to use. The new guide specifically allows users to apply the start over and look back features almost effortlessly. It is also more straight forward so that customers can search for shows by genre, actors and category.
The most noticeable change is to the color palette. The company says the sleek new guide addresses a lot of the customer feedback they've received.
"It's quite a change in terms of color. Just initially, when people wake up in the morning, we don't want them concerned that something's wrong. This actually is a good thing. It’s helping them be able find shows better. Their shows will be organized by categories. But the biggest overall change with the onscreen guide is the change in the color pallet, as well as the functionality," said Stephanie Salanger, Time Warner Cable Communications Manager.
Time Warner Cable tested the system on employees, who gave positive feedback, saying that it is sleeker and more modern.
