UNITED STATES -- The death of a Tompkins County man whose body was discovered in Ocean City, Maryland has been ruled accidental.

Lance Gaines, 22, of Groton, was reported missing on April 21st while visiting Ocean City with his family.

Dozens of volunteers searched for Gaines. His body was found a week and a half later in a bay near where he was last seen.

Since then, examiners determined that the causes of death were drowning, hypothermia and an enlarged heart.
