BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Broome County man will spend the next 14 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in the Town of Union last summer. John Desmond, 23, of Endicott, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act in March for the July 2011 incident.

He was sentenced to 14 years in prison with 10 years of post-release supervision. Desmond was previously convicted of sexual misconduct back in 2007.
