JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 195th annual Jefferson County Fair will open its doors Tuesday.
Vendors and Midway ride operators spent Monday setting up for opening day. Even the roosters at the livestock exhibit were getting ready in preparation for the show.
The fair hosts activities for all ages, including a demolition derby and a wrestling show, and of course, classic fair rides and food.
"All of our wristband specials run from opening, which is one o’clock, until closing, which is sometimes eleven or eleven thirty at night, so you can put a wristband on at one o’clock and ride until you can’t stand up,” Fair President Robert Simpson said.
Tuesday is a free admission day and will feature the firemen and high school band parade at 7 p.m.
