DELAWARE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man has pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter as part of a plea deal in Delaware County.

Andrew Hafele, 38, was originally charged with second degree murder for the death of 20-year-old Michael Mills Jr.

Police say Hafele and Mills had gotten into a fight inside a shed next to a home on Airport Road in the Town of Deposit in September of last year. They say Hafele hit Mills with a hammer several times, killing him.

Hafele could now face 25 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for August 6th.
