PETERBORO, N.Y. -- A bit of history mixed with hometown spirit in the village of Peterboro this weekend. The 29th annual Peterboro Days brought people out for food and fun. The festival was moved back by a week this year to coincide with Emancipation Day, which was Saturday.
Given this area's Civil War history, organizers through it would be fitting.
"The historical significance here is amazing. And there's so much history involved in such a small community," said Crystal Farrar, event organizer.
Organizers said they added more vendors and entertainment this year to try and attract larger crowds. This was the 29th year the event was held.
