BRIDGEWATER, N.Y. -- A Herkimer County teen is arrested for DWI following an overnight crash in Oneida County. It happened on Hardscrabble Road in the town of Bridgewater around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Sheriff's Deputies said Steven Holliday, 17, of West Winfield, tried to turn onto Mapledale Road from Hardscrabble Road when he drove head-on into a guide rail. Holliday and a 15-year-old female passenger only received minor injuries.

Officials said Holliday had a blood alcohol content of almost twice the legal limit. He is charged with Leandra's Law felony DWI due to having a passenger younger than 16, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was taken to Oneida County Jail on $5,000 bail.
