FRANKFORT, N.Y.-- "A Little Bit Country and a Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll" is the theme for this year's Herkimer County Fair, getting started Tuesday in Frankfort.

Just about everything at the fair will be tailored to the theme, including the antiques and the flower show.

They have a couple of exciting new events this year, including the Star Family Circus and even a live bear show. But for all of the new, they're still proud of the old. The fair says their time-tested truck pull organization sets them apart as one of the best.

"Actually we have a little competition with the truck pull, but we are one of those that has it automated well enough that we can run the truck pull very efficiently, we can move a lot of trucks very quickly," volunteer Holly Hilts said.
