CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- One man was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Chenango County. Sheriff's deputies say it happened on State Route 12 in the Town of North Norwich Wednesday afternoon.

They say Ralph Marshall, 51, crossed the center line and hit a logging tractor trailer. Marshall then hit a pickup truck, sending it into a cornfield. Marshall was thrown from his truck and was airlifted to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City with serious leg and arm injuries.

The drivers of the other vehicle and a passenger were not hurt.

The crash is still being investigated and sheriff's deputies say charges are pending.
