SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Just like the Syracuse University football team had nothing to lose against No. 2-ranked USC last week, Stony Brook has nothing to lose against the Orange this week.
The Seawolves play in the lower Football Championship Subdivision but enter Saturday's matchup ranked No. 16 in the FCS Coaches Poll with the No. 1 total offense and No. 2 total defense in the country at that level. They have only a lot of positives to gain with an upset and nothing to lose with a loss as that is the expected result, meaning the pressure is on Syracuse to get the win and avoid an 0-3 start.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at the Carrier Dome. Time Warner Cable Sports will air the telecast.
