BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- It's discounted dining in many locations throughout Binghamton as Restaurant Week returns in what is expected to be a win-win for restaurant owners and patrons.
The event geared to attract students, businesses and the community to Binghamton eateries.
Restaurants provide specials and affordable prices and a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.
Restaurant owners say it's a great way to highlight the diverse culinary experiences the city has to offer.
“It's a great way to showcase new businesses, such as ourselves, and a lot of great local eateries, especially in the downtown area that people may not even know were here unless they heard about Restaurant Week or saw our listing. Last time, in the spring, we did have dozens of people come in and it was their first time and a lot of them became regular customers,” Binghamton Hots owner David Whalen said.
Restaurant Weeks actually runs longer than just one week. You can get in on the deals any time from through September 27th.
