Man arrested for multiple bank robberies
BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Lisle man has been arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in New York and Pennsylvania.
Samuel Parrotti, 43, was arrested Tuesday after authorities linked him to four bank robberies dating back to July. The first robbery took place on July 16th at the M&T Bank on Vestal Avenue in Binghamton. This is a surveillance image from the second robbery at the NBT Bank on Route 11 in Whitney Point on August 1st.
Parrotti is also suspected of robbing two banks last month in Scranton and Sayre.
In all of the cases, police say Parrotti passed a note to the tellers of all four banks, demanding money and claiming to have a gun.
Various amounts of money were taken from each location.
