SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Music filled the Crouse Hinds Theater in Syracuse as The President's Own United States Marine Corps Band performed Monday night.

The band visited the Civic Center as part of their 2012 National Concert Tour. The band performs regularly at the White House and takes an annual tour around the country from the beginning of October through early November.

The band also features a Marine Chamber Orchestra and Marine Chamber Ensembles. It was founded in 1798 and is one of the oldest active professional musical groups.
