Driver arrested for DWI after crash injures three
WEST TURIN, N.Y. -- A man is arrested for DWI following a crash that injured three people in Lewis County. It happened on State Route 26 in the Town of West Turin just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Sheriff's deputies say 46-year-old Shawn Seelman drove into the path of another vehicle when he was attempting to turn left on Croniser Road. Seelman was not injured. His passenger, 45-year-old Jolene Sullivan, and the other driver, 28-year-old Sheena Dickinson, were both treated at the scene for their injuries. Dickinson's passenger, 61-year-old Barbara Hellinger, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Seelman was arrested for DWI. His blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit.
