SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating a suspicious incident. It happened outside the Red Lobster on Erie Boulevard where they say a girl was forcefully thrown into the back of a van.

Witnesses in the restaurant's parking lot called police just before 9 p.m. Tuesday after seeing what happened. They tell investigators that a man pulled up and started talking to a girl who was in a car with other people. She got out of that vehicle and at that point, he grabbed her and threw her in the back of his van.

Police are asking anyone with information on who these individuals may be to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222. Police are hoping to check to make sure the female is not harmed.

There is surveillance video from the scene and police are working on getting that to us so we can share it with you. Stay with YNN for much more as this story develops.
