NEW YORK -- In the battle for the newly redrawn 19th Congressional district, Chris Gibson and Julian Schreibman debated for the second time. Gibson, the Republican, currently represents the 20th district.

Thursday night's debate in Troy focused on Medicare. Schreibman accused Gibson of voting for a plan which would dismantle the program. Gibson called that claim a lie while referencing his own mother, who he says benefits from Medicare.

The two men will debate one more time on October 24th.
