MANLIUS, N.Y. -- The Jamesville man accused of destroying swan eggs in the Village of Manlius earlier this year has pleaded guilty to charges.

Ross Leone, 23, appeared in court Thursday where he pleaded guilty to fourth degree criminal mischief and interfering with wildlife.

Manlius Police say he smashed seven eggs back in April that were due to hatch in about two weeks.

Leone will be sentenced on December 6th.

The assistant district attorney says some jail time will be served.

"His sentence is going to be probation, which we had a prior negotiation, there will be jail time included, there may be fines and or restitutions included and we'll have exact amounts on December 6th," Assistant District Attorney Laura Fiorenza said.

The person who donated the swan says the eggs are at estimated $5,000 a piece.
