ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Police have identified the body found in Elmira on Thursday. The body of Brian Martin, 25, was found in an SUV at 424 West Third Street. They say the murder happened sometime between 2 a.m. and noon Thursday.

Authorities say Justin Jones, 21, is responsible for killing Martin. Jones is charged with second-degree murder. He was arraigned Friday morning in Elmira City Court.

During Thursday’s investigation a local school, the Booth Education Center, was locked down for about an hour and a half.
