WESTFORD, N.Y. -- An Otsego County town is without phone service. The main phone line that provides landline service to the Town of Westford in Otsego County was severed Sunday night. This means residents are also not able to reach 911 in case of an emergency.

According to emergency service officials, repair crews have been notified but there is no estimate on when the service will be restored. Residents can go to the Westford Fire Station on County Route 34 to report an emergency.

Cell phone service is unaffected.
