Two teens arrested for attempted robbery

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Two Syracuse teens have been arrested for an attempted robbery during an alleged drug deal.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's office says John McFadden and Charles Baz, both 18, were dealing Hydrocodone in the West Genesee Wegmans parking lot last Friday. They say Baz staged the drug deal, and when the 17-year old victim from Lyncourt arrived, McFadden threatened him with a knife. The victim sustained a minor cut following a brief fight.

McFadden is been charged with attempted robbery, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. Baz is facing attempted robbery and conspiracy charges. Both teens posted bail of $1,000.
