Three injured in 690 crash

By: Web Staff

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Three people were injured following a crash involving a tractor trailer and two cars in Syracuse. It happened on Route 690 west at the West Street exit around 7 p.m., closing part of the highway for hours.

The tractor trailer driver told police he switched lanes to avoid a vehicle that cut him off but hit two cars when he moved over. The truck hit a minivan, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Syracuse.

The woman and two male passengers, a 39-year-old and 43-year-old, were taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another car was also hit by the truck, but that driver was not injured.

Police say no tickets were issued.
