CORTLAND, N.Y. -- A new report shows Jets camp brought more than $5.5 million to Cortland County this year. The study was done by faculty at SUNY Cortland.
Although there were only half the number of practices in 2012 than in previous years, the economic impact was just slightly lower than the $5.8 million created in 2010.
More than 35,000 people visited Cortland to check out the team. They came from 36 states and Canada. That gave hotels an 11 percent jump in revenue.
Local businesses are already looking forward to training camp in 2013.
