BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The sentencing of Isaiah Jeremiah has been postponed. The District Attorney's office filed an adjournment at Thursday's court appearance so that the victim's family members could be present to make statements.
A jury found Jeremiah guilty of shooting Stephen Mayo, 22, during a robbery on Leroy Street in Binghamton in October of 2010. Mayo was found dead in his second floor apartment.
Jeremiah was convicted of two counts of second degree murder, first degree robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
The sentencing has been rescheduled for December 11th.
