LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- A unique production in Liverpool. The King of Kings Lutheran Church put on its outdoor nativity pageant Sunday night.

For 17 years, people have been playing the roles rain or shine. This church also finds real animals to put on the show, which is one of the pageant's biggest challenges.

Pastor Paul Herpich said, "This year we thought we had a donkey. Then we thought we had a mini pony. That all fell through, but at the last minute we ended up with four llama and two sheep so it worked out fine. But yeah, to try and make it natural has become more difficult every year."

After the show, church goers and community members take part in a giant feast.

The church puts on the nativity and the dinner on the second Sunday of December each year.
