NEW YORK - The Syracuse men's basketball team had three obvious flaws in its first loss of the season on Saturday: Michael Carter-Williams becoming human, missing 15 free throws as a team, and getting out-rebounded by Temple.

Carter-Williams was held to six assists, nearly five below his average, and he was unable to score on his own, shooting 3-of-17 from the field and 7-of-15 at the free throw line. The poor free throw shooting was abnormal for him but normal for the team as the Orange is shooting 64.9 percent this season, ranking 274th out of 347 Division I teams entering Sunday.

On the glass SU failed to out-rebound an opponent for the second time in three games, the only two times that has happened this season.

Syracuse will try to rebound Saturday at the Carrier Dome against 2-11 Alcorn State.
