MONROE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The woman accused of supplying the guns used to kill two Webster firefighters on Christmas Eve appeared in Henrietta Town Court.

Dawn Nguyen, 24, pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of falsifying business records. Her case now goes to a Monroe County grand jury.

Prosecutors say Nguyen lied when she bought a shotgun and an assault rifle more than two years ago at the Gander Mountain store. Investigators say she bought the weapons for shooter William Spengler, but claimed she was buying them for herself. Spengler could not legally own weapons after he served time for murder.

Nguyen is free with some restrictions. She surrendered her passport and she cannot travel outside of Monroe County with the exception of going to college classes at SUNY Geneseo.
