ITHACA, N.Y. -- DNA evidence is presented in Tompkins County Court as the prosecution lays out its case against Corbin Whyte. Whyte is being re-tried for murder, robbery and tampering with evidence.

He's accused in the shooting death of Paul Garcia, 47, in December of 2010.

State police investigators took the stand on the third day of testimony, and described evidence they tested for blood and DNA, including some of Whyte's clothing and a plastic bag associated with the crime.

The evidence may play a key role in the case, as the defense argues there is no solid evidence connecting Whyte with the shooting.
