SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- This Tuesday marks the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court's landmark decision in the case of Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion across the country.

As they do every year around that anniversary, Pro-Life advocates in Central New York staged a March for Life Saturday. They started in Armory Square and walked to Columbus Circle.

Demonstrators say the march is a protest against what they see as the devaluing of human life through abortion.

"We're saying it's still going on, and every week there's another 24,000, and we should do something about it, like voting for people who are pro-life, for example," said Louis Ragonese, Syracuse Right to Life Association.

After the march, the group gathered to hear from several guest speakers in front of the offices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse.
