UTICA, N.Y. - A Utica man has died from injuries he suffered in a fire last week.
Jeffrey Howarth, 50, was briefly trapped inside a home on Columbia Street when it caught fire early Wednesday morning. Howarth suffered first and second degree burns covering 80 to 90 percent of his body and died after several days of intense treatment at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
