CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 88.

Monday evening, a tractor trailer and a van were involved in a crash on I-88 east near exit 7 in Afton. Several ambulances were called to the scene, however it's not clear how many other people were injured.

The eastbound highway was closed for a short time while crews cleared the scene.
