SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police have charged a second person in last week's armed robberies that resulted in a liquor store owner being shot in the eye.

Police say Delvon Harley, 23, was involved in both the robbery at Salina Liquors and Wine on Wednesday and an earlier theft where two women's purses were stolen.

Harley is facing separate robbery charges for the two incidents. He has also been charged with assault and criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the liquor store theft.

Shireff Williams, 19, was arrested and charged last week in that case. Police say he was the one who shot at Thomas Dotterer, 77, last week, striking him in the eye.

Dotterer has since been released from the hospital.
