ENDICOTT, N.Y. -- After two weeks of not commenting, the Union-Endicott school district confirmed Tuesday that football coach Shane Hurd is no longer with the district. Hurd's letter of resignation was accepted by the board at their meeting Tuesday evening.

Hurd has resigned from both his coaching and teaching duties.

Cornell has yet to confirm, but it is expected that Hurd will soon be announced as one of the new assistant coaches to David Archer's football staff.
