Ithaca woman arrested for assault and robbery
ITHACA, N.Y. -- An Ithaca woman is behind bars on robbery and assault charges. Y-nasia Adams, 19, was taken into custody Wednesday night.
Ithaca Police say around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman accused Adams of cutting her multiple times with a knife before running off with her purse. Around 9 p.m., Adams was found in an alley in the same block the incident allegedly took place.
Adams is facing several charges including first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She's being held in the Tompkins County Jail on $10,000 bail.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but is expected to be okay.
