SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA -- At least eight people are dead and dozens more hurt after a tour bus flipped in California.

Officials says the bus was traveling down a mountain road in Southern California, when it hit a car, flipped, and plowed into a pickup truck, pulling a trailer Sunday night.

The bus carrying Mexican tourists was on its way back to Mexico. Officials say the company is licensed to carry passengers for interstate travel and that it had no crashes in the past two years.

There are reports that the bus' brakes may have failed.
